As an Asheville native, Wheatley's introduction to Chinese Medicine grew from the roots of her Appalachian heritage. One of Wheatley's favorite aspects of this ancient medicine is how individualized treatments can be, which aligns with her ability to meet patients exactly where they are — and bring them home in their spirit, mind, and body.
With a deep love of using local plant medicine, she has a special affinity for neurological disorders but also enjoys treating psycho-emotional disorders, digestive health, hormonal imbalances, and sports medicine. Incorporating many techniques from Japanese acupuncture, her approach is gentle, nourishing, and founded on harmonizing Eastern and Western diagnostics to heal the root of the problem holistically.
Wheatley says: "To be able to gently walk along someone’s health journey as an acupuncturist is the most humbling, inspiring, and invaluable gift of servitude which I am fortunate enough to touch every day. Being an acupuncturist is like calling people back home into their bodies, and it's always a nourishing homecoming."
