Sous Chef

Kate has been interested in cooking since a very young age. She has studied in a variety of kitchen environments, from catering to food trucks to restaurants. In addition, she attended a technical high school for culinary and has participated in numerous culinary competitions. In one of her favorite competitions, the HUNCH Culinary Challenge, she created meals for astronauts on the International Space Station, and placed second at Nationals. From there, Kate found her passion in nutrition. She pursued this passion by majoring in Culinary Nutrition, and graduated from Johnson & Wales University in 2022. There she reinforced her culinary knowledge and gained a deeper understanding about nutritional cooking. Kate says: ā€œIā€™m excited to serve Skyterra guests foods that have been prepared in ways that are healthy and delicious. I want our guests to understand they can still enjoy every meal on their path to a healthier lifestyle, and to feel confident when they leave Skyterra that they are able to incorporate healthy foods at home.ā€
