GRILLED SHRIMP SKEWERS

Skill Level: Beginner
Total Time: 45 minutes
Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • 2 each Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes
  • ¼ cup Olive oil
  • 2 T. Orange juice, 100%
  • 1 T. Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 T. Honey, local
  • ½ tsp. Paprika, ground
  • ¼ tsp. Kosher salt
  • 8-10 each Raw shrimp cleaned peeled and deveined

Method

  1. Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes. This prevents your wood from catching on fire and is essential to do.
  2. In a mason jar or mixing bowl, combine all wet ingredients until stirred well.
  3. Add shrimp to the marinade and let rest for at least 15-20 minutes.
  4. Preheat a grill to medium high heat.
  5. Add shrimp to skewers, 4-5 shrimp per skewer.
  6. Fold two large pieces of foil into 4-5 fold-thick pieces. Place these on the grill, the distance between the ends of the skewers.
  7. Season shrimp lightly with salt and pepper.
  8. Add shrimp to the grill, the ends of the skewers touching the foil and the shrimp touching the grill.
  9. Grill shrimp on each side for 1 ½ to 2 minutes, ensuring you create grill marks. Enjoy with your favorite sides.
