Evan
Fitness and Recreation Specialist
Evan grew up in a small town in Northern Indiana on a private lake, no-motor lake where he spent much of his time fishing and swimming. His love for hiking and the outdoors developed early through lawn care jobs starting at age 14, camping/backpacking trips every summer with his family, and especially from his involvement in Boy Scouts, where he achieved his Eagle Scout rank at 16 years old. These experiences also taught him about leadership skills and wilderness survival knowledge. Evan attended Ball State University after high school, where he achieved a B.S in Exercise Science, with a concentration in Health and Fitness. He also took some psychology, nutrition and aquatic fitness classes during his four years there. At Ball State Evan was involved in a fitness and nutrition program called Cardinal Wellness that offered free group exercise to the community and provided nutritious meals for them after the workout. Evan was in charge of preparing the meals and leading others in the kitchen.
Evan says: “Being a part of the Skyterra team has given me the opportunity to make a positive impact on people’s lives while doing the things I love to do. The Skyterra team is amazing because I am surrounded by like-minded, healthy people who encourage me to be the best version of myself. I always enjoy interacting with our guests here and helping them out in any way I can!”
